Transmissions and Transaxles:

All our transmission/transaxles rebuilds are done in-house by an old-world craftsman, i.e. the owner.

Transmissions are cleaned externally then disassembled and checked for wear.

We check runout of the mainshaft, and the condition of bushings, bearings and synchronizers.

Bushings and bearings are replaced only as necessary, since they usually last as long as the quality and quantity of the gearlube are sufficient.

Synchronizer rings and sleeves are all replaced to ensure a smooth shift.

We are familiar with short-term money saving gimmicks as turning the 5/R syncro sleeve around etc. etc.  We don't do that sort of thing.  We spare no effort to ensure that our rebuilds are better than new and we don't sabotage those efforts with any half-assed measures.  That's why our rebuilds cost more.  That's why our rebuilds last longer.
