High performance modifications to automotive gasoline engines fall into these categories:

1:  Efficiency improvements such as cams, headers, valves, porting, raised compression, more or bigger carbs/fuel injection.  We do all of these.

2:  Displacement increases such as boring and/or stroking. The 1300 engine can be bored out to almost 1500 cc; the 1600 engine can be bored out to accept 1750 pistons, and the 1750 can probably be bored out some, too, but we don't do any of those.  Not cost effective. Our solution to anemic little engines is to install 2 liter engines. If you already have a 2 liter and you want more, we can install a 2.5 or 3.0 V6.

Check our ENGINE SWAP page.  The 2.5 V6 can be bored out to a displacement of 3.1 liters.  The 3.0 V6 can be bored out to either 3.3 or 3.5 liters.
 

3:  Super charging or turbo charging.  This requires installing low compression pistons, and a lot of other stuff that we don't get into.

4:  Nitrous oxide.  This should work very well on intake systems having a large plenum such as the Bosch injected Alfas.  Let us know if you find someone who has done that.

Each Alfa engine we build is custom built in-house for that particular customer according to his wants, needs and budget.  We primarily build street engines with broad torque curves that will run well on 93 octane.
 

	High compression pistons and liners.
	Oversize, 45" stainless steel valves (8)
	High lift, short duration midrange cams
	Tubular headers or 71-74 or 91-94 cast iron stock exhaust manifolds.
	Porting and/or powder coating is available.
	Cylinder head porting and polishing
	Lightened fly wheel

	Pistons and connecting rods zero-balanced
	Crank pulley, crankshaft and flywheel balanced
	All clearances within factory specification, usually better
	New bearings, chains, belts, oil and water pumps and motor mounts
	New clutch assembly.
